Offboarding

What is Offboarding?

Offboarding is the process of removing a departing employee from a company - revoking access, closing accounts, settling final leave, and keeping the right records for compliance.

The security-sensitive part is access: when someone leaves, their accounts should be closed promptly, with a record of when and by whom. Doing this by hand is where data gets left exposed.

HREvio handles the records side - marking an employee as terminated, locking their access, and archiving their data under retention rules - rather than a full offboarding checklist. The final pay run is a payroll provider's job.
