What is Employee onboarding?
Employee onboarding is the process of bringing a new hire into a company - giving them access, accounts, and the information they need to start working productively.
Good onboarding is mostly about not dropping the ball in week one: the new person has a login, knows their manager, sees their leave balance, and is not chasing five people for access. SMBs can run this lightly, but the failure mode is doing it from memory and forgetting a step.
HREvio covers the records side of onboarding - a tokenized email invite, the new hire's profile, and a starting leave balance - rather than a full task-checklist module. Heavier onboarding programs like equipment and training plans usually live in a separate tool.
