What is Headcount?

Headcount is the total number of people a company employs, counted as individuals, and is the figure most HR tools and HR pricing are based on.

Headcount is a simple number that drives a lot: team planning, budgets, and - with most HR software - the bill, since per-employee plans charge per head. It differs from FTE, which converts part-timers into full-time equivalents.

Flat per-company pricing breaks the link between headcount and cost. HREvio charges by plan band - up to 25, 100, or 250 employees - not per head, so hiring inside a band does not raise the price.
