What is Absence management?

Absence management is the practice of tracking and handling all the time employees are away from work - annual leave, sick days, and other absence - so balances, approvals, and coverage stay accurate.

Absence management is leave tracking plus the absence types around it: who is off, why, how much is left, and whether it was approved. The point is fewer surprises - no double-booked teams, no leave balances that drift out of sync with reality.

HREvio does this as core functionality: vacation and sick requests with approvals, balances that accrue and carry over, and a who-is-out view. It does not include occupational-health case management, which is a specialist tool.
