Leave ledger

What is Leave ledger?

A leave ledger is the running, line-by-line record of every leave transaction for an employee - each accrual, request, approval, carryover, and adjustment - that explains how their current balance was reached.

The balance tells you how many days are left; the ledger tells you why. Every entry is dated and attributed, so when someone disputes their number you can show the exact accruals, bookings, and manual adjustments that produced it, and who made each one.

This matters most at year end and when people leave. A carryover cap, a mid-year correction, or a policy change all show up as ledger lines rather than a balance that silently jumped. HREvio keeps a full per-employee ledger behind every balance, which is also what makes leave data hold up when someone needs to audit it.
