Probation period

What is Probation period?

A probation period is an initial stretch of employment, commonly one to six months, during which either side can end the contract on shorter notice while the fit is assessed.

Probation length and rules vary by country and contract. HR software helps by flagging when each new hire's probation ends, so the review actually happens instead of slipping past.
