What is Payroll?

Payroll is the process of calculating and paying employee wages - gross-to-net pay, tax and social-contribution deductions, and disbursement - usually run on a fixed monthly or weekly cycle.

Payroll is heavily country-specific: tax codes, social contributions, and filing rules differ in every market, which is why dedicated payroll providers and accountants specialise in it. HR software and payroll are often separate systems that share data.

HREvio does not run payroll, by design - getting it right in every country is a project in itself. It keeps the compensation records that feed a payroll provider, like salary history, effective dates, and encrypted amounts, and leaves the actual pay run to specialists.
