What is Implementation fee (setup fee)?
An implementation fee is a one-off charge some HR vendors apply at the start of a contract to cover setup, data import, configuration, or onboarding, separate from the recurring subscription.
Implementation fees are common with mid-market and enterprise suites, where setup genuinely runs for weeks. They are rarer with self-serve tools an SMB can configure itself in an afternoon.
